Occasional Pianist

Can you play the piano?

We are looking for a volunteer to play the piano a few times a year only (just when our usual pianist is away) for the 10:30 am Mass on Tuesdays at the Beverly Centre Nursing Home on 90th Ave.  Typically, this involves playing 3 easy-to-play hymns, and some Mass parts (optional).  A binder with the chosen music is provided to the volunteer as required, and left at the church for pickup.  The musical accompaniment provides an important and appreciated component to our weekly celebration.  You do not have to be a concert pianist, nor do you have to lead a choir.  If you feel called to do this or if you have further questions, please contact Susan at 403-238-1803 or

Gardening Ministry looking to Grow!

Gardeners Needed: If you have a green thumb, like digging in the soil, planting flowers and shrubs, and watching the fruits of your labours grow and bloom for all our Parishioners to see, please consider joining a new Ministry in our Church.  On the job training is available; materials and equipment supplied.  A few very generous people have been looking after the flowers and shrubs over the years but are no longer available.  We know that there are many more Green Thumbs” among our Parishioners and we need your help and expertise.

Come and be a “Sower of seeds” in our Garden, for many hands make light work.  If there are enough volunteers, teams of two or three people would be formed so that no one person is doing all the garden care.  Sign up for this ministry by calling the office (403-251-3381) leaving your name and phone number by May 4th, 2016.  May God bless you.
