First Reconciliation and First Communion are essential in a child’s journey of faith. The Sacrament of 1st Reconciliation opens the doors of God’s mercy, healing and forgiveness. The Sacrament of 1st Communion unites us deeper to Jesus, giving us the strength and love to live as Christians.
The 1st Reconciliation/1st Communion program is for children grades 2 and up who have been baptized or made the Profession of Faith in the Catholic Church. This is a combined program. In the Diocese of Calgary, children receiving the Sacrament of 1st Communion must first receive the Sacrament of 1st Reconciliation.
If your child was not baptized Catholic but you wish to enroll him/her in the program, please let us know and we can assist you.
The 1st Reconciliation/1st Communion program begins in mid October each year.
