“For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.”
Galatians 3:27
Baptism is not only the first of the seven sacraments, but also the basic sacrament. This sacrament ushers us into the divine life and cleanses us from sin. Baptism is the sacrament by which a person is first identified as a Christian and it is the foundation of the sacramental life. Unless a person is baptized, none of the other six sacraments can be received.
For infants and children: Baptisms are typically held on the second Sunday of each month at 1:00 p.m. throughout the year. A minimum of one month is required for adequate preparation. To schedule a Baptism, please contact the Parish Office at 403-251-3381 or book online by clicking the link below.
Godparent Guidelines:
Godparents fulfill an important role in the life of your child. With regard to God and the parish community, they are undertaking the task of helping your child lead a true Christian life and to fulfill its obligations. Godparents must, therefore, be faithful examples of Christian life – examples for you and your child.
A Godfather or Godmother:
You may choose one Godfather or Godmother, or both a Godfather and Godmother. If you choose someone who is not a Catholic, they may act as a Christian witness alongside a Catholic godparent, but they must still be a baptized Christian.
For adults (18+) wishing to be baptized, please refer to our RCIA program or contact the Parish Office at 403-251-3381.
