We are a group of fellow parishioners aged 55 years and older whose only mandate is to socialize. We hold meetings at the church on the first and third Tuesday of each month from 1:30 to 3:00 pm. If we are having a meal, we begin at 1:00 pm. During our meetings, we discuss upcoming events, share family news, birthdays and anniversaries, review finances, and participate in games, all while enjoying refreshments. We aim to have at least two events per month, one of which is a fun day. The group currently has 59 members and we enjoy a wide variety of activities including guest speakers, inhouse themed potluck luncheons, games, outings for lunch, matinees, bowling, mini golf, bus tours, and more. We also have special celebrations at Christmas, Easter, and Chinese New Year. We collect dues of $20 per person to help cover some of the costs for refreshments and stipends for guest speakers.
