The Parish Renewal Team was formed under the guidance of Fr. David, in response to Bishop McGrattan’s call for Pastoral Renewal in our Diocese.

Pastoral Renewal is the commitment of the clergy, religious, and the faithful in the entire Diocese to form missionary disciples in Christ, be a church of encounter and witness and strengthen family life.
The mission of our team is to listen to and engage everyone in pastoral renewal at Holy Spirit Parish.
Our ask of all parishioners is this: think about, pray for and act on renewal – in our Diocese, our parish and in our own lives!

As we begin the second year of our Pastoral Renewal, we take to heart Bishop McGrattan’s invitation to “cast our nets into the deep.” His message reminds us that, no matter our circumstances, we are all called to place our trust in the Lord’s guidance as He leads us in the ongoing renewal of our parishes and the Diocese.
Bishop McGrattan offers this encouragement: “No matter who you are, where you are, or what you have experienced … cast your nets into the deep and believe in the work that the Lord is entrusting to us in the renewal of our parishes and the Diocese.”

The survey results have helped, and will continue to help, the Diocese identify its greatest strengths and opportunities for growth as we journey together toward Renewal.
On the weekend of February 22nd/23rd, 2025, the Parish Renewal Team gave a presentation at the end of each Mass, sharing the initial results of OUR Parish Renewal Survey. A total of 389 parishioners from Holy Spirit Parish participated, providing valuable insight into who we are as a parish, what we value in our community, and what we hope for in the future. The Parish Renewal Team encouraged us to continue praying for renewal in our personal lives, our parish, and our community as we move forward in developing a Parish Renewal Plan.
On April 6th, 2025, leaders from all ministries in our parish took part in a Renewal Planning Workshop, where they began shaping the vision for our parish’s renewal. The completed plan will be shared in the coming weeks.
