Have you ever sat by the bedside of a loved one as they lay dying? Have you visited palliative persons in hospice?  Have you felt a nudge that perhaps you might be called to a spiritual ministry for the dying?

A two- weekend Palliative Care Education Program (sponsored by RC Diocese of Calgary) is being offered right here at Holy Spirit Parish this spring.  It is FREE for all parishioners of Holy Spirit (otherwise $50).  Dates and times are as follows:

Part 1 April 26 & 27, Friday 6:15-9:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am- 4:00 pm

Part 2 May 3 & 4, Friday 6:30 pm- 9:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am – 3:30 pm

Free or not, you must still register by calling 403-218-5501 or 403-218-5508 or emailing healthcareprograms@calgarydiocese.ca. Further questions may be directed to Susan Duckett susaneduckett@gmail.com or 403-238-1803.

“We are pilgrims on a journey,

We are travellers on the road;

We are here to help each other

Walk the mile and bear and load.”

Yours are the eyes through which the compassion of Christ must look out on the world.  Yours are the feet with which he is to go about doing good.  Yours are the hands with which he is to bless his people. ~ St. Teresa of Avila
