Holy Spirit Parish Ministries

“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone.” 1 Corinthians 12:4-6

As part of the Mystical Body of Christ, we’ve each received gifts unique to our position in the Body, with graces that equip us for our work within the Church.

Research conducted some time ago by the Dynamic Catholic Institute  revealed some startling findings: In a typical Catholic parish, 7% or less of registered parishioners generally contribute 80% or more of the financial support and 80% or more of the volunteer hours worked. Together, as a community, we can work to change those statistics, and lessen the load for everyone.

We invite you to browse through our list of ministries and discern if you are being called to serve in some capacity.

LITURGICAL MINISTRIES

The word Liturgy literally means work of the people. Within the Catholic Church it is used to describe all the public acts of worship that take place, as it draws the people into the work of God. Our liturgical ministries assist in the celebration of the Mass, the celebration of the Sacraments, and Daily Prayer of the Church. Liturgy is much more than just the words that are said or sung, but through the liturgy we encounter God, and we are united with our brothers and sisters across the world as the Universal Church.

OUTREACH MINISTRIES

We are called to make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20) and to love our neighbor as ourselves (Matthew 22:27-40; 25:37-40). This call can be answered through participation in any of our outreach ministries. Outreach includes evangelism, serving those in need, and reaching the neglected with our own local approach to best serve our community. Please view our Outreach Ministries and should you be interested, feel free to contact the coordinators listed.

FAITH FORMATION MINISTRIES

Faith must be known , celebrated, lived and expressed in prayer. Our Faith Formation Ministries are informed by six fundamentals which are related to an aspect of faith in Christ promoting: knowledge of the faith, knowledge of the liturgy and the sacraments, moral formation in Jesus Christ, prayer with Christ, participation in the community and mission of the church, a missionary spirit to be present as Christians in today’s society. If you are looking to develop your Catholic faith, please view our Faith Formation Ministries. You will find you can easily contact the coordinators who will be more than happy to answer your questions.

DEVOTIONS MINISTRIES

Our rich Catholic faith provides us with many devotions, from honoring Christ's Kingship and adoring His Precious Blood to the honoring of His Immaculate Mother and devotion to the Holy Souls in purgatory. Holy Spirit Parish is currently hosting a number of devotions. If you are looking to find solace within a devotion, please feel that you are very welcome and our coordinators will be most appreciative if you should contact them with questions.

PARISH MINISTRIES

Holy Spirit Parish requires continued care, maintenance and oversight.
